Statement of Faith

We believe

  • the whole Bible is the infallible and inspired Word of God and that it is profitable and relevant for today;
  • there is only One God who manifests in Trinity as Father, Son and Holy Spirit and that He is a personal God with a distinct character and nature;
  • Jesus Christ is the Son of God who took on a human form by means of the virgin birth, was crucified on the cross, died for the sins of all mankind and wasraised from the dead so that mankind will have access to the Father through faith in Him;
  • The Holy Spirit is present and at work today to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgement; places the believer in the Body of Christ, indwell the believer and bestow spiritual gifts to the Church;
  • In the Baptism of the Holy Spirit for all believers with the evidence of speaking in tongues and prophesying as a definite endowment with power for service and is subsequent to and separate from conversion;
  • That man was created in the image of God and through disobedience sinned and fell short of God’s glorious ideals and that the entire human race shares in man’s lost and depraved nature;
  • That salvation is the gift of God by grace alone and is received through a wholehearted personal acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and theregenerative work of the Holy Spirit;
  • In the urgency of the Great commission which entails working in cooperation with the Holy Spirit to seek out unchurched people and to bring them to a  place of change in Christ;
  • That the church is the visible presence of Jesus Christ consisting of all people who have had an experience of rebirth by the power of the Holy Spirit and that the church has a mandate to make known the manifold wisdom of God to the world;
  • The ordinances of water baptism by immersion in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit  and the Lord’s Supper for all believers;
  • In the personal return of Jesus Christ for HIS Church and to set up His Kingdom, that all true believer will join with Him in His Kingdom while all those who rejected Him will be condemned;
  • In the resurrection of the believer to everlasting conscious life in heaven and the unbeliever to everlasting conscious damnation in hell.
